I play alot of GW (by my standards). Sometimes i may play for around 4 hours (with breaks) at night. Theres really nothing much else to do at night, so why not kill it playing GW? Its better than watching some lame movie on TV thats been on twenty times. Mostly i just play before i go to bed though, probably around 9.30 to 11.30 (darn uni...)
Who cares if people play for 6 hours. Thats there choice, and its their life. What business is it of yours if they play for 6 hours a day, or 20 hours a day... |

this thread is brain rot and shoulda been closed already. are the mods on break or do they just not care anymore. seems like this site is for angry children to vent their hate on others instead of trying to have a mature discussion about a game we all like. if gaming and forums turn you into an angry ugly little child, dont participate. have you people no shame at all. your parents failed. completely.
as to the question, do gamers have a life? do you ask the same of people rebuilding old cars? how about people who spend their entire lives working? do they have lives even though they work 14-16 hour days? everyone has a life, even when they ignore it. the question is what affected you so that would cause you to ask such a question. PS: if i offended anyone of the flame baiting nobodies on this thread then learn to be a civil human being instead of subhuman waste. I need to be a Mod here. i'll clean this site up fast! and with what i'v seen i'll do a better job than most of the mods here. Sorry Guru but your mod team gets an F. |

Question is, why do you care? It's their lives, let them be.

When an interest becomes a problem:
1: when it affects your health. If you exercise too much, you don't give your body time to recover, and it breaks down(torn ligaments/muscles, stress fractures.) Using this to prove that obsession goes for all activities, which is why this is kind of something the OP should have posted in Psychology Today, not a gaming forum. 2: If it affects your ability to support yourself. I knew a few people who actually called in sick for the game preview. Others might call in if they were up all night doing Urgoz. It's the same with partying, though. Most of us might have a hard weekend, but we drag ourselves into work the next day, bleary-eyed but on time. If you can't, you have a problem. 3: It affects your relationships with others. This is a gray area. Some people are just antisocial. If there weren't games, they might be in a cabin in the boonies somewhere. They might be in their own place, writing or doing something else creative for their soul. Then again, if you polled most of the great minds of the past, they all had healthy social interactions, and most were married(Einstein, Hawking, Newton). As long as you are still healthy, wealthy(subjective), and wise(not as subjective as you might think), it isn't a problem. Which is a long way of saying.....I smell necro. Why does this zombie of a thread still walk? |

When I didn't have a Job, and was in university vacations, some days I reached 6 hours, like 1 or 2 each week, but thank God I get tired easily of playing a lot, now I have a job and I finished university, and all I play is 1 hour and a half and not every day.
A kid playing 6 hours a day is and addictive and need to be parental controlled. |

you say life, every one has a life its what they make of it. you could have a gamer who plays 10 hours a day + and thats his life, his choice, or some one who hates games and is out 24/7 that is there life, you cant say ppl who play 6 hours a day have no life cos they do its just how they chose to live it. i found that i use to play 4 hours a day after a 11 hour work shift and 6+ at weekends and i enjoyed it, i didn't have a social life that much but i enjoyed my gaming time. now i play gw 0-2 hours a day and 2-3 on weekends and im out about 4 nighs a week witch i love, i haven't lost my gamer but ive gained a social life witch i love. so yes ever one on this forum or who plays MMO's has a life but a life is something different to every one

As this isn't really about GW, is more of a discussion and/or opinion about a person's lifestyle..
